i have been tinkering with these a bit as of late. I think i have a complete kit, which i pulled off a 50.00 250es parts machine:naughty: the other one i scored off ebay for twice as much! came off a 250es as well. i mixed and matched and am using the nicer of the units on my minty big red. the other i would like to adapt to my 350x. gotta fix a dent in the one, and some fresh paint for it and the bracket. i repaired the light as the wiring was cut flush with the gromet, but atleast it was there and fixable. the cables are different. the one actually says 84-200x on the sheath, and came off the 50.00 parts bigred that came with the guides. the sheath on it is worn through, but the metal jacket it intact, and it works great. it is quite a bit shorter than the other cable. the longer cable is perfect, not sure if it is the actual one that came with the kit. The dented head has next to no miles on it compared to the other one, but the #'s have yellowed a bit. i sanded primed and painted the other head and bracket, dissassembled the gear drives cleaned and regreased(except the spare, that one needs some love. cleaned up the guide, gonna have it replated when i do a bunch of other parts. wondering if the intact harness just has an extension for diff apps. i will post up some pics when i get the one mounted. maybe tomorow. would love to have a copy of the setup instructions if anyone has them. thanks for looking.
