My Honda 200x just doesn't seem to want to idle on its own. It'll turn over just fine and it'll run when i'm on the throttle, but as soon as I let it go it dies on me.
Does anybody have any ideas that can help me out here?

Clean the carb . The small jet is prob clogged . Check the air screw to make sure its not broken off as well , the tips like to break . A carb kit is less than 20 bucks and a good investment .

welcome.

There are manuals for free in the world class help section.

I usually find the slow jets clogged.
I thought the holes were like the smallest guitar string .008" for the longest time and then
discovered that a .010" will fit.
They get plugged with some really tough stuff.
Soak the jet in carb cleaner in a bottle cap and try again?
They also say to never use wire to clean them.

Maybe try the above suggestions on adjustments,
make sure there's no air leak around the intake.
and let us know what you've tried.
Could almost be weak electrical that goes away when it's revved too so please keep us posted.

I agree sounds like the pilot jet is clogged BUT in cleaning that out and putting the carb back together you may run into other issues like high, low or erratic idle. I always have trouble getting the old carbs to work right and end up buying an eBay special if available for the trike I'm working on. Others poo-poo them but I have had good luck installing one on my 200x and 110. Plus they aren't much more than a rebuild kit.

Thanks guys. Honestly as that was my first post, I didn't expect to get so many responses on it. I havent had time to work on the 200x yet. Hopefully I'll get to it later on this week.

sounds clogged or too much fuel getting in, but it could be just a little bit too little fuel too

clean carb, turn the airfuel screw 2 and 1/4 screws out, then adjust the idle screw

nopers not on a hond ATC. it's 1+1/2- 1+3/4 turns out then adjust idle screw on side.

fyi the air screw is the one that you hae to get to from the bottom of the carb it is pointing up from the bottom of the carb. tighten it toll it stop s (Gently not forcing) then loosen it as stated. then try again.
