200x motor mods

Hey i am working on an 84 200x motor. As of now i put a mild port on the head, pro x .20 piston,dg krom pipe and moding a um airbox to fit. Is there any thing else i should look at adding to help preformance? Thinking about a xr carb and a ebay cam. i looked at old post and got alot of info and i feel like this is the right way to go, but is there any coil or cdi upgrades? Thanks

Oh one other thing. i keep seeing these 28 30mm new xr carbs on ebay for dirt cheap. Anyone use one of these? Last thing i want to deal with is a junk carb but it would be nice to have a brand new one.

my opinion is cheepo ebay carbs a junk and very hard to jet. get a used xr carb they are cheap but can be jetted. just my two cents

web cam adv timing a little powroll makes a nice complete kit but its expensive or u could put a crf 230 motor in it n make lots of power with a big bore n cam setup

not wanting replace the motor just help it out a bit. I can find any info on the coil and cdi. Anyone use a saccel or dyna coil? What about the xr cdi?

never replaced them on any of my xs are yours bad?

No there not. More looking for any upgrades to maybe get a lil hotter spark.

less gap in your plug helps i rember there being an aftermarket coil for them long ago idk where to find one now days it sucks
