there is a fair this weekend, and they got an atv mud bog, i have a 225 dx, they have a 2 and 4 wheel drive class. i don't want to make trikes look bad so i figured i would run it by you guys first. i never compared my trike with a 2 wheel drive quad in the mud before. i was thinking that it should do better, but what do you think. and i know it has to do allot with the rider but if you can put that thought aside 130601
here is a picture from when i first got the trike, it aint pretty but i don't have a more recent one on my computer but these tires are still on it

Did some of those have a locking differential or are they all live axle?
Do some also have 3 and 4 lug wheels?

Looks cool the way it is.

I keep mine ugly and consider them more theft proof.

It possiably would do good but most of the factors are that an atv has two front tires which makes a track for the rear tires to drive into. While an atc has only one front wheel which would get cought up in one of the ruts made by a 4 wheeler. So i would say do it any way because it sounds like fun and i am sure everyone would cheer you on just because you brought something different than a 4 wheeler.

that's what i was thinking that alot of people would like it, and both wheels are under power at the same time and are 3 lug wheels
i would just rather have better tires on it

Go balls out 'lil earl' you won't have fun if you don't try..and if you faceplant in the mud make sure you bring pics for show & tell the next day..

If you can keep your nose wheel from digging down in the mud you might just do pretty good..remember you are alot lighter than your 4wheeled cousins.

Win, lose, draw..it's all good. The crowd will think it's all in fun!!

I've been in alot of atv mud bogs. I've been pretty lucky 1st, 2nd twice add 3rd once but that was all on my 4wheelers. Me and my buddies all took our trikes last time. I didn't do so hot:( I was riding a 200x I had with a atc200 engine that had bad rings(burned a whole crankcase of oil in 15 minutes!) I couldnt get it to start when it was my turn up so my buddy was dragging me with his big red to pop start it. Everyone there was amazed at how much smoke was comming out of it! I made it a good was in the pit and they had to drag me out with a tractor and it flipped my trike over in the mud dragging it. Crazy part of the story is a year later I go to a guys house to buy a parts 3wheeler and the guy remembers me and says damn that wheeler sure burned oil!

i noticed while in truck tracks or atv tracks in the mud if you keep your front tire in the rut and let the back stay out you move better.

Remember, sit far back, put more weight to your wheels in power than your front. I've actually stood on the grab bar and lifted the front tire off the ground going through mud. Just give it all ya got and have fun!

sell i ended up coming in second place, even though there was only 1 other guy in the 2 wheel drive class hahaha. but he had paddle tires on it. the first time we went through i made it farther than him, but the second he got my best by 2 feet. but o well it was worth it. then i put my 4x4 in and came second, since we could make it all the way it was timmed, first time i won then second i succed a little water in so it bogged down and i had a tough time keepin it runnin. so both classed i came in second.

as soon as i get my buddies camera to upload them i will, i really hate cleaning them as well, but i think since i was only cleaning mine, it was not so bad, i am use to comming home from a ride and washing, mine, my dad's, sisters, & friends. since im the low guy on the pole i get that. haha

PROTIP: Spray PAM under and on the fenders and everything before you hit the mud. That way it doesn't stick nearly as easily.
