Looking like a very nice build.

What color combinations you looking to do?

Remingtonsteel
08-24-2011, 12:37 PM
it was 99% rust free lil surface rust on the top of forks and foot peg bolts are good pegs are shot though. right now the frame is white with some pearl in it and the plan is white front and rear and leaving the radiator shroud and air box cover black(because i cant find them in white.) swing arm is going to be either matalic black or white like frame, blacked out engine polished forks and some other chrome piceces along the way.

Maybe you could get a yz clutch cover and find a fix for the rear fenders being in the way... A short kicker is all you may need. I dont see why everyone keeps that forward setup. I think it would be cool with a rear kick, not just more reliable

Does look to be coming along, ill stay posted.

Remingtonsteel

that would be a cool idea i know i have had a few shin and foot slaps from my 200x's and it almost makes me not want to ride.lol

If you are still looking for white shrouds and filter cover DC plastics makes replicas. They look nice and I plan on ordering some myself. I emailed them and asked about coloring. The replied that they can make them in any color they have including white. Here's the link for the filter cover. You can find the other parts on their site. They also make front fenders. Unfortunately they won't ever be making headlight bezels or rear fenders.

i like your pegs man. Your going to have to do a write up on how hard it was to mod those to work. It looks really good man. I think you gotta swap your forks around tho, the one with the brake caliper mount should be on the other side.

they wernt to hard to modify some cutting, then welded up the holes and drilled new ones. but it does help that i work in a machine shop and have all the stuff to do it right. and yea i just noticed that when i was over there on the forks.lol they still have to come off anyways to put the new boots on and finish up the headlights.
