Which way do swing arm bearings go in on a 250ES big red??

I'm just wondering I haven't gotten my repair manual and my bearings are now here.. So is it tapered end inwards or outwards?? Please help :wondering

The way they came out or the way the book explains.

Don't say how they came out, especially you being a machinest DC! You can't tell me that you've never seen bearings put in wrong, can you? LOL I guess just go ahead and blindly carry on the tradition!
