Lifted the front 3" and the rear 2". Lift is pretty simple.. For the front I Cut some 1 1/2 Tube 3" Long slit the bottom so the fork tubes would slide in, welded some flat bar to it drilled a couple holes and bolted them together.. Holds the forks nice and tight and I tested them out yesterday!! The rear I cut some flat bar 4" and drilled a couple holes 2" apart.. Wheels are 12X7 Condor 7 spoke. Front is a 5+2 offset with a 2" spacer rear are 2+5 With a 2" spacer.. Running 27" essex sure foot..

Wow bro you didn't waste any time! Looks real good! My front lift looks just like that, but after a year of riding there is alot of slop where the fork tubes slide in!

Cool idea and I'd love to do it, but won't the sharper angle on the driveshaft stress the u-joints and possibilily cause failure??

Mondexbrute I based mine off your lift.. The shaft angle does not worry me at this point I dont feel any vibrations.. If I run into trouble down the road with it I will let you guys know..

I like it..just I would have stayed an even 2" front and rear.

Looks a bit 'chopper' in the front for my taste..

Still worried about the increase driveshaft angle..let us know how that works out for you and whether the thing starts eating drive shafts.

My friend's and I all have lifted our Big Reds. Just rear lift, no front lifts yet though. I used 2 pieces of angle iron (I thin similar to what Mondexbrute did) and raised it about 2.5".

To Dougspcs, we did hear some noise in one of the four Big Red's we lifted, but so far after a lot of use over a year, no driveshaft problems.

Below is the only pic I have on my work computer...my BR is the closest with 25" Mud Bugs (1.25" lugs!) all around and 2.5" rear lift.

I found some pics on my FB account :)

After we lifted our BRs, we also bought some spacers (1.5") to help offset the increased height.
