I like my 200x because I can buy 2 for the price of a 350x.

Of course, I have a 350x project now, too.

To answer your question - how about a little more input?
What kind of riding?
How much payload?
How much $$ do you want to spend?

I say this because both of my 200x have no problem going too fast on trail rides, but I'm 280 lbs or so and they have to work to haul me around the dunes.
Also, a first gen 200x costs 1/4 to 1/2 a comparable 350x. And, Honda sold a gazillion 1st gen 200x so parts are cheap and plentiful.

Had a 200x and now a 350x. Had I known the difference I would of never owned a 200x. Night and day!

I had a 200x, nice quick little trike..then I got my 350x, the 200x left shortly after. My 250r also..

The 350x powers thru the trails. It takes the corners beautifully then hit the throttle and it blasts out like a fireball..still it has the low range control that only a 4 stroke can give. I can slow cruise with my kids all day long!!

The best balanced performance trike I have ever owned..

Ask Veal about em, ya know, since he only knows about 'racing trikes'. I personally have had an '86 X, and rode an 85 350X(Even owned one for a couple weeks), and I loved the power of the 250. It doesn't handle as well in my opinion, but it's just a lion in low end, and a cheetah at the top. With all the squishy cougar bits in the middle. I loved my 200X, but that 350 was just so much more capable. Helluva lot more expensive though.

Ok, I'll bite. LOL I had an 85 200x. Great little trike. Nice power for the size. It could lug through tight trails and get down the road at quite a nice speed. Honda did make alot of them so used parts are readily available. New parts for all trikes are getting harder and harder to find. If you like a smaller trike that you can toss around, then a 200x may just be your ticket. The biggest con can be the kick starter assembly. They are prone to slip with age and you are talking a 28 year old trike! They can be made to have better performance with some massaging and their upkeep won't break the bank either. 4 stroke reliability and grunt down low.
If you are of the school of thought that bigger is better, then welcome to the 350x. Bigger displacement, bigger frame and bigger bang for your buck. 4 stroke reliability. Downfalls, only made for 2 years and generally a tad bit more expensive. The 85 had a tendency to crack on the left side frame right above where the front sprocket is. Can also be made to have more performance. Once again a 26 year old machine. Condition is everything on these trikes. Some sellers want a premium price for a less than premium machine, so make sure you know what you are looking at or you may be paying alot of money for a big headache. Unless you are buying either trike from a known and trustworthy person, then pick them apart with a fine tooth comb. Anything that you will have to repair, will be an added expense in parts and labor above what you are buying the trike for. Unless you have tools and mechanical ability and patience, don't buy a fixer upper. And remember, a shiney trike isn't always a decent trike. Best of luck in whatever decision you make. They are both nice trikes. But I'm partial to the 350x.
