I found a recent post about problems with a 250sx quiting.Somebody told what to and how to test known electronic parts that fail. Now I can't find the post again. It definatley is not a carb problem.Haven't checked the gas cap yet.The machine will run fine for a short time then quit.Wait a little while and will start right up and fine.Time varies on how long it will run and when it will run again.

lol same with mine, Runs fine idles, But when i ride it for a littl ewhile it just quits.. Today i rode it, Took it slow, Didnt happen .. Idk
Check your Choke cable make sure there is no holes in teh top where the choke feeds into the card.
Also Check your float level, Mine is like it Runs oout of gas, Then stops if i wait a while or drain the overflow then try again, Runs fine,..
Make sure your float is workign correctly an at Recommended Hieght.

Must be a PA problem! When it quits, take your gas cap off,,it will probably burp. That means your cap is no good, and the carb will fill while you have it off. If not,,yes, you're troubleshooting.

My sx did the same thing. It was the gascap.

they say those caps are unfixable but mine is definitely getting a 12 gauge autopsy soon.
Left my favorite rider waaay out in the boonies.
Ran all the way out there, cap said 'on', not 'off'
opened to check fuel level and it hissed like a rattlesnake.
so...x4 on the cap in this case.
There IS something I've been meaning to check.
they say sx's have a weak electrical link somewhere near the battery box
that flexes with the swingarm and can also be intermittent.

Yea i doubt its a PA problem lol., Where are u at in PA anyway? Im in mifflinburg.
Anyway, I have a hole drilled threw the top of my gas cap, the tank can breath, I dont think that is teh problem.
