Well as soon as mine cures I let you know how mine went, I've been starting it up every night this week and letting it run for a couple minutes to help it along. I used it as engine paint on a 200x but I've never tried it on the exhaust. Blast you pipe down clean though.

I have used black paint especially made for motors or for BBQ grills (1500ºF stuff) Haven't had any problems with it. Not as glossy as some. I got a complete guard off MR ATC that I just repainted and put on. Mine that was on my bike just had the bottom piece and it was 'chromed' See attachment.

The only bad thing about BBQ paint is that it washes off with gas or oil.

I myself prefer the PJ1 high heat exhaust paint! works great, kinda semi flat black.

Thanks..... the cooler is nearly a permanant attachment to the bike! My license plate is attached to it!!!! I painted it before with high temp flat black and it held well. Except right at the header, but I think that's due to the mud and water that splashes up onto the paint and bakes on it.

P.S. -- I even went to the hassle of lowering my tail light so it can be seen below the cooler! I always ride with the cooler on. ;)
