I have a 86-87 Tecate cylinder with a TC ingraved on the left side of cylinder where the exhaust valves are. Usually means its who ported or modded the cylinder but I am unsure who TC is. Or is every Tecate cylinder have this?

Many 2 strokes have a slide valve at the exhaust port, usually called power valves. They open as the throttle is opened. They dont affect peak power, but make the powerband wider and give it more bottom end power.

TC Racing is Tom Carlson Racing. He did a lot of work on the 200x motors for racing including a dual plug head setup. TC Racing has been around a long time. Do a search for builds on this site using TC Racing parts..

Has the cylinder been sleeved?

Hard to tell by the pics but the intake side looks to have a mild port job to me . Casting marks smoothed out and rough edges cleaned up at the intake ports or possibly it was just resleeved by them ?

Def Tommy's work. He's a 4 cycle specialist, but also made the 2 strokes fly. Not radical, but absolutely ported.
