will an '84 big red fork fit on an '83 honda big red

a few years back i ran into a truck size boulder head on and demolished my fork on a big red. couldnt find one to replace at the time so i found a 200s fork and put it on cause it was able to fit the front wheel. it was a temporary fix that worked out well. i found a used fork that came off a big red but it is a 1984. i have a 83. looking at the images it looks identicle to an 83. im wondering if it will fit and work the same way the old one used to. by the way the axle and tire/hub are the original before i crashed.

as long as it's not the 250 it should fit.

ok, its the 200 series big red. wish it was the 250 though lol.

it will fit just fine. what wont fit is an 84 honda 200s. a slight wider bridge will be needed and a different break set up. the width of the fork is correct though but might require some modifications.
