After looking through the site for over a hour I cannot find out how to test just the condensor on my honda 110 its a 1980 points and condensor not cdi. I have ordered a new ignition coil but I want to test the condensor. I have a fluke voltmeter so what do I test for. I went through the honda service manual and couldn't find anything either.... thanks, this is driving me nuts...

just disconnect the condenser, and put the red lead on the wire from the condenser and the black on the condenser body, set the meter on ohms, the resistance will climb and then it will show OL (over limit) which is infinite You could then set the meter to dc volts, and you may see a dc voltage reading because you just charged up the capacitor / condenser

If you touch the condenser wire to a positive battery terminal and the condenser body to the negative battery terminal for a few seconds then touch the wire to the body and if it sparks it works. Thats how dad always checked them.
