The electric start is the working. I can hear the click sound it makes when i press the start button and the starter has power but it won't turn. i had recently repaired it because the carbons inside the starter where burned. Could an electrical problem be causing this to happen.

gremlins?
Brushes may be hanging up.
They are NOT very easy to replace correctly.
You need good light, good glasses and be able to make a 'ship in a bottle'
with tiny tools to get them right all in a space of a quarter inch gap
you need to see thru.
Best test is to ground the starter with a jumper cable to a regular car battery and touch the other to the positive lead on the starter.
Make sure you hold it down with your foot in case it tries to go flying.
or be real careful and jump it with it on the trike.
If it's in gear it will run you over, remember, and make sure the key is OUT and kill switch is off.
Good news is that they are everywhere NEW for under 50 bucks,
almost cheaper than brushes alone.
