Found this on my way back from jetski-ing..paid 170 only thing that is missing is the front fender.Seat is a lil beat up but other then that all good cosmetic wise.Problem is that it wont rev up.I switched it between run/start that makes no diffrence,Clean the carb which wasnt that bad.The guy who i got it from claimed it ran great till the kid played with the choke lever, which works fine.Somebody rigged up a light to it though,do you think that could be causing this?more pics later

I would bet a buck, the exhaust is plugged... Take a 1/2" drill bit, pull the silencer off the expansion chamber, and drill a half inch hole through the screen inside the expansion chamber... Re-assemble, and report back....

Before drilling, I would try to run it without silencer, and after without expansion chamber.
And I would inspect their inside: wasps often like to build their nest in small exhaust when they are not used...
You could test with compressed air to see if it's plugged.

So it was the screen in the expansion chamber? There are 2 different gaskets where the pipe meets the head, one is a restrictor, and one isn't... PW50 clutch, aftermarket exhaust, oil injector elimination... (premix) There are a few nasty ones lurking around on the forum!

Anyone have a pic of where this screen is located? I'm going to assume my exhaust doesn't have one because I didn't find one.. but, you never know..

Doug... The screen is inside the expansion chamber... Usually fouls up with unburned oil. If you take the stinger off, and ram a 1/2" bit into the expansion chamber... (through 1 layer of metal!)

Sorry for my bad english, but I didn't understand what is this screen and where it is located.
Could you explain it in more detail please?
I don't think my Zingers have some, but in fact I have never paid attention so I don't really know and I would want to verify...

I believe it functions as the spark arrestor... Mine woke right up, once I drilled it out....
