So I picked this badboy up last week and it runs pretty good. There seem to be a few problems.
- No brakes, rear has no brake pedal or hand brake. Front needs new cable atleast.
- Middle rear engine mount missing (ordered off ebay)
- Plastic is all broken but stitched
- Have one Trail pro and two other tires but not sure what tread pattern.
- No neutral switch or doesn't work, starter switch is toggle and will start in gear
- Bolt missing near front tire (see pic)
- Takes forever to start then doesn't stay idling until I ride it around for 5 min or so.
- Broken exhaust bolt, engine sounds like a sewing machine (valve adjustment needed?)
- Tank beat all to crap
- Throttle cover broken

The good things are , it was cheap, carries my ass around, doesn't smoke and shifts gears, lol. Anyone see something that I need or have any parts for it then please let me know. Thanks for everyone's help.

Mike

that's a trx throttle on that so the cover should be easy to get still, the stud is snapped of on front axle kind of a pain to repair but is doable, yamaha handlebars, is a plus they don't bend as easy because of the cross brace. Little bit of a wiring mess, but repairable. I have the foot brake pedal if you need it, and I'll have to look and see if I have a chain guard sitting somewhere for that otherwise will be a good project to fix up. Oh and that's definitely a carlisle tire on back but not the dreaded trailpro lol

Remove and clean the carb..really well. Adjust the valves. Maybe even install an inline fuel filter if there is rust in the tank. Deal with the brake issues, setup, adjust whatever. Change the oil..bet that's gross and black!! Lube the chain and install a guard if you are going anywhere muddy..

Don't go overboard..it will make your cheap toy a money pit.

Ride it and have fun!!

Thanks for the comments guys.
What TRX model would I get that cover from? Do you have the springs, clips, pedal etc for the brake? All 3 are Carlisle and looking at the one I dont see the word BooB so I guess its not a Pro, lol.

here's a link for it http://www.hondapartshouse.net/pages/OemParts?aribrand=HOM#/Honda/TRX200D_A_%2895%29_ALL-TERRAIN_VEHICLE_%28ATV%29%2c_USA%2c_VIN%23_1HFTE17 0-SA500001/HANDLE_SWITCH/TRX200D-95-A/2Y14HF1LHF14F0200B let me know if you are interested in the foot brake, as I have one sitting in a box. the one I have needs a new spring but I have everything else for it. You should be able to swap the front tire to the back and put the oddball on front, if they are all good then you won't tear up your lawn.

Cool, let me know what you want for it, I have Paypal. So the front and rear rims are the same? The oddball tire goes flat after 3 days but I'm going to dump some slime in it and see what it does.

I have to take some pics of what is attached to the battery. It looks to be a starter solenoid, there is the positive heavy cable and one skinny one going to this solenoid. I think maybe the guy circumvented the entire neutral deal and have the starter on its own line, controlled by the toggle switch. Gotta love that get r dun tech.
