i was looking into mounting a manual winch behind my 185s in the future, maybe under the taillight....has anybody done this? is it possible? nothing extravagant, just something that is simple and rather easy to do

Where are you planning on mounting the BIG battery to run it? I don't see where a winch on a 185 would ever be handy. I mean it is light weight so yo ucan pick it up and move it, and as far as pulling someting else out that is stuck - it is not heavy enough and you will prolly just pull yourself.

no,just a small manual winch like a boat winch, you never know when it can come in handy.....and if it can be broke, stuck, lost, blown up.....i tend to be able to do it

they would definetely come in handy. you could tie your wheeler to a tree to pull in another wheeler.
