83 honda big red 200e no spark frying coils

ok i traded this thing for my little boat motor i got for free i know enough to work on motorcycle engines i don't know anything about the ignition its first problem the coil was out in it when i got it i put a coil out of my 95 xr250r on it. it worked great till it fried/went out no spark wat is wrong with it? i know it has a pulse generator and a 12v rectifier and dose not have points wat should i do:wondering

Did you double check to make sure no wires are grounding out?

i checked all the wires i pulled away from frame and everything and checked. normally i c things fry when the wire coming from wat ever fryed is grounding if before it usally melts wire or couses watever to shut off and on

im thinking ignition pluse genteator or the little coil in the head for the timing maybe the rectifier to much power or not enuff idk
