So... me an some buds went for an awesome ride yesterday. Well...awesome for me anyway, I'm the only one that didn't stall. lol. (the atc110 is a battle tractor) The one who had the most trouble was my brother on his klt200. Every time the bottom of his engine even touched water it would stall. It is fully snorkeled and would start back up after it sat for five minutes. When it is running it runs very strong, all electrical has been rerun high up on the bike and was not even getting the least bit wet. I've heard the stator on the Kawi's can be a little less than reliable, would water cause it to temp short ? His chainguard is missing so I can see how water might get in there. The only other thing I would suspect is maybe he is too lean (although he doesn't seem to be running too hot)

Anyone else with a Kawi (or any other bike ) run into these kind of problems before ? Btw, my atc 110 will run just fine with only the snorkel and crank vent poking out of the water

Does it have an oil breather tube? If so it might be sucking water into the crank.

I know my 110 bogged down and died whenever I crossed through a puddle that would touch the engine. Maybe it's something to do with the exhaust..

Hmmm... don't think those would be issues here. The crankcase vents directly into the airbox and at no point was any of the exhaust system underwater. We changed the oil after and it couldn't look any cleaner. Gonna do some plug chops to see if it is lean but i dunno. He wasn't lacing these puddles by any means either.

Trip was kinda funny..
