About a week ago I began the process of replacing the pivot bearings on my 250r. Long story short, the bolt was seized to the collars and had to be cut off. here's what was left of the old bolt:

After some useful info by BKM, I picked up a new swing arm bolt for a 450r, which saved time and $$$. While I had it all apart I touched up the paint in a few spots.
The middle of last week my silencer from craigslist showed up, so that made me want to clean up my DG pipe. I was going to sandblast the old paint off because it was peeling but my grandpas 54 y/o air compressor finally gave out so no go there. I ended up using chemical stripper. It was messy but worked good. I sprayed it with some bbq black which actually came out really good. Oh yea, plus the new pro-taper bars. my old ones had a pretty good bend on the left side...

Now I am going through the process of jetting. I took it out today for some test/tune but even with the bigger jet (158, was 142 on the old pipe) it was still lean and wouldn't really get into the power band. Of course the bike shop was closed today, so I'll have to go there tomorrow and pick up a couple bigger jets....
