Well I tore into the 190cc allky burning monster 90 motor and I want to polish up the piston and clean up the rings....BUT these damn "C" clips are in there ... And when I mean in there I mean IN THERE. I can most of the time get em' out with a good set of needle nose pliers well that didn't work to well... So then I try'd a very thin flat head screwdriver but the clips are so deep in the slots and thick I can't get behind or under them.

Have any of you 90 guys had the same issue? I need to get these bastards out. The piston is a arias 61.8mm wedge domed piston .

Any help would be nice

I use a pointed dental pick tool to get the tough ones out .

Do you know of anything that could replicate that?? I don't have a dental pick.

You could get something like this from AutoZone. Tools like these are always good to have around

Yep snap-on makes a nice 4 pic pic set that get me out of most of these kinds of binds. Make sure you put the opening of the C-clip down when you re-install them otherwise there is a chance they will open up with the oscillation of the piston going up and down, then the wrist pin will walk out and really bad things will happen.

I have one of those 8 piece screwdriver/attachment sets with like 8 attachments and one is a nice pick it is just straight. looks like a prison shank lol It's really handy for wrist pin C clips. I got it a menards, but places like home depot and lowes all have there own version there pretty cheap and worth the handiness.
