the story is this, i rebuilt both my front and rear calipers on my 350x with the moose rebuild kits. put on one of those new eastcoastatv rear masters and filled her up and bled it out. it worked great until today. it was the first real ride on them but they would lock up before no problem. i found out today in a not so friendly situation on a nice rocky incline that rear brakes will grab for a second and then let go then you cant get them to grab at all for awhile. i tried re0bleeding them in the parking lot to no avail. there were no bubbles at all but it seemed like the level in the res wasnt moving either. is it possible that the hoses are causing this if everything else is new? anyone make good repro hoses? other wise im in the market for a new caliper

Id say it could be the hose. They can sometimes fail internally and get a flap that blocks flow. that being said if it was mine i would recheck the master and caliper first.

It sounds like to me that your rear master cylinder may not be sealing completely and air is entering the top of it. You wouldn't necessarily get air in the line, but if the top lets air in, it could cause the failure you are seeing.

i looked at it awhile ago today and it seemed it wasnt getting flow out of the master so maybe its losing its prime somehow. but now i cant get it to reprime so theres no way for me to rebleed and replace the crush washers. any info on priming them?
