here is my 1985 Honda 250r im wondering what it is worth i have installed a NOS motor and carb have only put 3hrs since installation, starts 1st kick and runs great still breaking it in, regualar maintenance done, has dunlop tires and are the same as ohtsu which have only been used once so tons of life left, the plastics are all OEM and look like new, i dont think there is a bike around canada with less than 3hrs on it since 1985 this is truely an amazing bike so if you guys could help me on finding out what this thing is worth it would be greatly apprectiated

Even with a motor with 3hrs since 85 my buddy In Canada sold his 86 350x for $4000

It's entirely dependent on what a person is willing to pay for it. A collector might pay upwards of 10 grand for it. Someone who is looking for a reliable rider might not be willing to pay much over $2200. I personally wouldn't even think of selling it, it's just in too great of shape to even consider putting a price on it.

ya i wasnt looking to sell it just looking to get an idea on what it is worth i dont like selling my trikes once i make them nice because im afraid somebody else is going to destroy it

It's only worth what someone wants to pay for it. My opinion is that it is worth $3,500-$4,000

I think that crazy looking grab bar hurts it a lot for me. No oem and really not appealing to the eye at all. Get an original grab bar on it and it will be a little more convincing.

Would it hurt to make your sentences legible? :p

Also check around to see if a TRX grab bar will fit. there's a few NOS ones on FEEbay right now.

I an 86 last summer for $2500 here in the states, didn't have OEM exhaust or grab bar, or handle bars and had Renthal bars, FMF pipe and Durablue Axle, all OEM plastics and seat with no cracks. Just for reference. Couldn't get the picture to load, Sorry.

Since seat is not original cover anyway u should have Mrs. Mosh do a seamless stenciled cover to look exactly like the original '85 seat

I lucked out and got a non running one for a $1000 with the plastics mint oem barley any scratches. it had an 86 250r motor in it not running tore it apart and the guy had the piston in backward and we didn't trust the rest of the motor and I bought a NOS 85 motor off a guy named Rock. he was mentioned a while back on this site and now I'm rebuilding the 86 motor for a spare or if I ever find another 250r that I really like which will be another rare find if I can't get one I never thought I would find my MINTY 250r or 86 250es where I am in Canada but to my suprise they both eventually showed up and I got a preety good deal on both.
