I went to see my parents, brother and 250R on the weekend. Seeing the family was great but man i want to take for a rip. Since i hurt my back about a month ago all i could do was have a beer and admire it (I am not supposed to lift more the 10Lbs, I am on light duty at work and worst of all i can ride). My next physiotherapy appointment is Wednesday so i am hoping i find out how long it be until i get back to normal. Sorry i just had to vent a little

Buck it up sunshine..you'll live to ride again!! ;)

My buddy just went under the knife to have some pins and a plate removed from his ankle from breaking his foot 4 years ago..he's on crutches and will lucky to ride this season at all!!

Yes, you will ride again. Just remember, things could always be worse. A buddy of mine just lost his left foot in a motorcycle accident about 2 weeks ago. He just got home from the hospital this past weekend. Hoping he will ride again, it may just have to be on an automatic. He has been a real inspiration to me as he is so determined to get back to his regular routines and not let this slow him down any or hold him back from the things he loves to do.

Thanks guy. I know things could be way worse. My time was pretty bad. We are finally getting some nice weather and more of parts have arrived. At least it only the start of summer.

Well the 19th I'm gonna go down for brain surgery to remove a pituitary tumor and they won't even let me out of the house for at least 3weeks and I can't lift anything over 10lbs or bend over. I'm not a inside person lol i get really bored and I'm used to riding about every day this is gonna suck.:(

The next best 3 Movies .... #1 SUPER #2 Boon-dock Saints #3 Animal House . I was in a wheel chair for two years . I couldn't get out of bed so whatever movie the chic that took care of me put on at 5 A.M. was the movie I watched for 12 hours . Air Soft pellet gun was my toy of choice after I could use my arms and I got cable . I shot everyone on daytime T.V.

My father had this surgery. It went well and he was up and doing more than he should have with in a week. I had to yell at him a couple times for breaking Dr's orders.

sx250, good luck man. Getting seriously hurt at some point in your life happens to everyone. Take your time and do your exercises, that is all you can do.

You'll be ok.
Just get everything you think you may want/need.
Load the freezer etc so you don't have to think about what you might want.
Get it all now.

You may also want to consider anticoughing compounds and stoolsofteners
since those activities will raise your csf pressures more than lifting or bending.
My personal fav is tussionex for cough control,
I just HATE everything about tylenol but that is my one exception.

What are your symptoms and how did they find it?

I was looseing my perifrial vision so i thought I needed glasses and i went to the eye doctor and the eye doctor and the nurse that was looking at me all got really big eyes at the same time. I knew something was up right then I asked what do I have and he wouldn't tell me he said he wanted me to get a mri first he only had a hunch what it was. Well I got the mri and it showed the tumor, the doctors said it was one of the larger ones they have seen in a while. They then recommeded me to the University of iowa hospital where i've been going for while now. I'll be glad when I get this all over with, I hate going to the city I like to stay in the country where i belong. lol
Enough about me this isn't my thread this is 250sxheaths I'm not a thread jacker, probably shouldn't of posted. Lets get back on track here with 250sxheaths thread. best of luck to ya.

Kieffer, good luck with your surgery, you'll be fine!!
Heath, great news! Just keep doing what the doc says and you'll be back on that sucker in no time. I know how it is, you feel good and don't want to wait but you know if you push it, you could be setting your self back as far as healing correctly. Take your time and rest up.
