Boy, I was trying to think of the last time I rode one of these. I know I had just started my teen years. I'd say around 1986 or 87!
This one started first pull on a cool morning and the motor sounded tight. Looks a little rough, but has decals and good potential. It ran smooth and pulled pretty good, for a 175. I took a brief spin on it and think it could use a little TLC but is in good mechanical shape.
You sure have to pull the shifter up quite aways with your foot to get it to shift. I guess these Tri-Motos have a long shift lever because the engine is so far back in the frame. Also, It felt strange having a suspended front end and no rear shocks. It has the lights, I don't know if they work.
Anyway, I've decided to pass on buying it. If anyone in the DFW area wants it, email or PM me. :-D
