1983 honda 250r air/fuel mixture help

So I just bought this 83 250r. Its running way hot and seems to be running extremely lean. Turn air/fuel screw in to richen? And out to lean? It or vise versa?

the screw is just for idle, if its running lean you need to upgrade to a larger main jet....

Ya, you need to get a larger jet before running it any more. You can pick them up at any atv shop for 5-6$.
