hey people
i think the time has come for me to finally get a 3 wheeler..ive ridden dirt bikes for 5 years and now i want to try something that i can drive in snow aswell. I cant afford a 4 wheeler and i thought it would be nice to get a 3 wheeler because u dont see to many around anymore..especially 1s that run.

From what i've read over the last couples weeks some good models for me would be a :

honda big red 200 or 250
yamaha 200

i was thinking about a tecate because iwas pleased with my kdx80..i'd had a hell of alot of power and parts are easy to get but from what i've read a tecate sure isnt a beginners bike..what do you guys reccomend.

any help would be apreciated
alex

A 250sx would be nice, 350x even nicer, but spendy, 200x's part galore, I even have one for sale.

Depends what you want it and will use it for. And your size.

SInce you're already an experienced rider, I'd say go straight for a 250R or 350X, that's probly what you'll end up wanting anyways if you're riding for fun, or at least a 200X. If you're using it on the farm or putting around the campsite or keeping it for your kids to mess around on, I'd say a four stroke with auto clutch would be great, like a Big Red or 250SX, or a 200s or 185 if you want something smaller and less expensive. Whatever you end up with, it'll be great having another rider on 3 wheels out there! Hope u have lots of fun on it!

go for that tecate man...just take it easy and get used to it first...you wont haveto upgrade later when you want something faster

If your a good rider get a tecate....................but 3 wheels are VERY diffrent to trikes. Remenber to consider that, they dont take long to master though!

If you want a racing style trike any of the two stroke 250s would work great, if you dont want a two stroke a 350x or 200x would be a good choice, but if you want something that can get the work done, but still have enough power to have fun on, I would get a 250sx. My first bike was a 250sx, it was great for the woods, there was nowhere that thing couldnt go, plus it had reverse. I ride a tri-z now, which is awesome, but I still miss my 250sx, even though it wasnt all that fast (I could still smoke a honda recon) it just had a different kind of fun to it. I have heard that the 87 250sxs had a differnt gear ratioo in the rear end, and it would outrun any previous year 250sxs. Well, whatever your choice, you wont regret riding on three wheels. Good luck!

get a ATC 70.... and be done with it..
they'll outrun 250r's, tecate's, tri-z's, 350x's... they're unstoppable

Get the SX. It is perfect for play and work when you want to.

A good feature of the Big Red and 250SX is reverse.

Yes I do believe that the 250SX would be the best all around trike. Its peppy and fast with nice suspension(better than most utility trikes). It has electric start, reverse and shaft drive like a utility trike. Its not a 2 stroke so its realitively low maitaince. It has the torque to tow just like the big red and comes with a hitch or can be added. It handles great, works hard and just all around good fun.............peace

geeze thanks for all your replies...im 5"9 and 130 pounds i've never ridden trikes just dirt bikes...i want something for fun and possibly to put a snowplow on but i doubt i'd get around to that. i want something that'll go over 50 mph because sometimes i'll use it to get to work. i just wont somethign for general fun tho. it looks like i ant a 250r or a 350x but to top it all off i really want a tecate but i;ve never seen 1.

thank you
