Will an 83-84 250r headlight fit an 82r w/o making any mods?

No, I don't think so, because the holes are spaced farther apart on the 1982 triple crown, because of the wider front end. I have a early 200x headlight on my 1983 250r. at first I questioned whether or not it was the original on it works so nice and fits so good.

Good idea! Now I only need to find 2 250sx lights 1 for the 86 sx and 1 for the r lol.

I have a good sx light with out the bulb or plug, its red, no cracks and the straps are good. I don't think I have any pics of it. But I can take one tommrow.
