Hey guys. I finally found a 200x in my area for a reasonable price! I got it for $600. It is an auto-x. the motor has a .20 over wiseco high compression piston and it has an all new valvetrain. I wish it was a real x but oh well... the fenders have no cracks, all the rivets were holding on some ugly mud guards that i already cut off. It has all new tires and bearings. It has new chain and sprockets and ricky stator ignition coil and lighting coils. the only real flaw is the seat has a cut in it and the rear rims, which are from a 200s are rusty, but i'm gonna paint them black. It could also have the rear shock rebuilt and the forks rebuilt, but they are not that bad... I am very pleased with it!!!

Well it looks like they put the 200x top end on it. I had a 200s motor in mine while I was fixing the x motor and kind of miss it. The rivets give it kind of a Humvee look LOL. All in all it is a nick looking bike

Congrats on your new toy :) Nothing wrong with an AutoX! I love them. I am building my wife a AutoMX that should be fun :)

Well just after riding it for the day, the foam handlebar grips need to go! they feel to fat and awkward. I really like it though! how much would it cost to rebuild the rear shock and the forks too?

I think shocks usually go for about $25-35 on ebay

Here is a question for you guys: when the guy i bought it from put the ricky stator ignition and lighting coils on it, he said they are physically bigger than stock and they rub on the flywheel when the engine turns... It is only a little noise, but is there something I could do to fix this? he said he already ground the flywheel down a little bit. I might just get a 200x bottom end and ditch the 200s bottom end anyways

Nice find...my '85 was $600 as well, and I'm trying to make it into an Auto-X. We should trade!
Funny about the Ricky Stator. I'm no expert on these, but I thought they were custom made for the machine. Seems strange that it would rub. Did he say anything about it being for a different machine?

Contact Ricky Stator about the issues. They make them custom for each bike, and they're really nice people.

Im guessing the problem with the coils is they are for a 200x and he put them in a 200s engine. It doesnt matter, im just gonna buy a 200x bottom end
