84 200x kick start wont move

morning guys ok i know this is bin a topic for a bit and i have read most of them but they dont fit my problem ok here we go i bought a 84 200x for 50 buck but everytime we kick started it it would bind. so i pulled the motor out split the case to find the rod bearings was shot.so i sent it out for repair and picked it up the other day and put the whole motor back toughter again and instalded it on the frame. i went to try to kick start it and the kick start wont budge at all put the bike rolls free and all gears work but i cant kick start it any one had same prob and knows how to fix it?:mad:

Sound like you have the kick gears not in correctly...I had the same problem on ours you have to keep the cover off and set the gear in to see exactly hoe to position it to make it work. You probably have but it took me several attemps but the bottom of the kick ggear has to be almost to the top of the main gear if its in the middle or the top of the kick gear it binds. Hope that helps

Even that kicker gear cover, it has to have a gasket or it binds up. If you can't find the issue, pull the clutch cover and check the crank but I doubt thats the issue; You have some binding elsewhere..... Sounds like bad assembling.

well i lined up the kicker gears and it moves but really really hard but as soon as i remove the kicker cover i hear it move back into place when i split the case the tranny and the kicker shaft didnt come out only the crank other thing i went back to the motor and removed that stopper bolt and that shaft didnt move im stuck any ideas and thanks for all the help guys
