Torn the top end down on a 185s 83, Has spark now it just wont start.
If it was out of time would it spark? Not sure if i timed it right, But if i did, Its right on. Not sure whats going on here

I believe the timming you're talking about would be valve timming seeing as you had the top end off? You had to line up the mark on the flywheel and then the marks on the cam gear well that has nothing to do with spark timming. So in short yes it will spark if the timming is off. Sorry if its not explained to well.

before you rip open the top end again, the pulse generator you had to remove to get to the cam, flip that 180* before you do any thing else, part of it will be permanently set with the cam the inner part can rotate and try it then had to do that after pulling the top end of my wife's 200

Reverify your cam timing. Adjust valves to .003-4. Make sure your cdi trigger is all right,pin in the cam? Springs clean and greased in your advance. Should purr.
