Hey guys,
i was riding at normal speed, and engine died instantly. Upon trying to restart, no spit, sputter, or anything else. Battery fully charged, pulled spark plug and has white spark. Checked for power to coil, and had nothing. pulled cover on CDI and is rotating fine. Any comments or suggestions appreciated to get this thing running again.

Could be the carb, try taking it off and checking for gunk around all of it and the fuel filter if its not that then its got me

pull both fuel lines and check for a clog or dirty fuel, otherwise look for flooding issues or check you float needle and see if it's stuck

i cleaned the carburetor out and everything, still no luck. i feel like it could be something simple, but i have no idea what it could be. i thought was one of the connections or a weak spark or something with the ignition, but that was a dead end.

soooo?
white spark or no spark?
will it run/sputter with starting fluid?
That will give you an idea if the carb is what needs attention and rule out a spark problem.
Thinking the easiest, free thing to do is cut off the last tiny bit of plug wire
and rescrew in the spark plug cap.
It will give it new fresh wire to bite to.
It is something that messed me up for days on one trike after checking EVRYthing else.
I've also seen sparkplugs do that for no obvious reason.
Where the coil bolts to the frame is an important ground, well, ALL grounds are important to check
and are the most annoying gremlin that can ruin a days riding.

might want to change the plug too I have a couple laying around that will put out spark but not enough to run a machine

it has a white spark, and i did try to use starter fluid earlier, and that did nothing. what does that rule out then?

well it is either a fuel problem or some how you jumped timing. so check for fuel issues from the tank to the carb, and then if that all checks out check your timing
