I've been to acouple of atv pulls with my foreman 500 and my old rubicon 500 but there is a atv pull coming up in my area and i'm goin to take my 225dx. Anyone ever pulled a trike before? Any tips? Im hoping to atleast be able to move the sled. I got a pretty strong running bike. Trying to talk my buddies into taking there 250 big reds along to whip up on some quads! I would imagine that tire pressure plays a key roll, I have a new set of carlise strykers on the back. Any advice guys? Im thinking once I get it moving just lay on the throttle and try and point it away from the crowd.

If it's allowed, I suggest you try to put some weight on your rear axle to get you some better traction. Your 3 wheeler is quite a bit lighter that a 4 wheeler, and you need it to be heavy enough to dig into the dirt and pull the sled and not sit on the top and spin.

I remember an old thread with some 350x and 250r pullers. If I remember correctly there was some info in that thread.. Not to mention some bad @$$ pullers..

I seen a guy at the last 2 pulls i was at that had a 200x with a huge sprocket on the rear and had mounts on the front and back for tractor weight. Also looked like he took the rear shock off and bolted a peice of square stock in its place. I called the guy thats putting on the pull and he said maybe weights for smaller riders to make it fair. Idk what going to happen Im 6' 3" and 230 lb I have no racks on my DX so I have no where to add wieght if I wanted to.

I hate to say this terrible word but if you want to add good legitimate weight put some trail pros on it, they don't do to bad in the mud either. Stay towards the front and keep an even push on the throttle is how I towed my 73 dodge when the tranny went. I was so worried about my dx lifting the front end and it never even tried when all was said and done.

There were pictures of a Tiger 500 puller on this site somewhere. Maybe it's in oc250rs' Tiger site.

The pic of the 500 puller that I knew of, would be 4 or 5 years old, so it wouldn't be the last Tiger 500 sold, that's for sure.

Filling the tires up 3/4 of the way with water (then adding air to keep them from going flat) would probly be a good way to add some weight descreetly.... Don't forget that you also need some weights on the front or you wont be able to steer at all.

personnally id say use your 350x... weld a tow hitch right to the swing arm(you can always grind it back off)..and put some wieght and good tires on the rear the 350 would probly do much better

My DX had the famous trailpro tires when I bought it. I got a free set of 100% new strykers with my Tri-z so I swapped them. I figured they had to be an upgrade. Id love to take my 350x to the pull but about a week ago I had the genius idea to take the exhaust off and snapped my exhaust studs off! So that machine is sitting in my garage until I get the chance to work on it.
