I just looked at my 84' Big Red 200ES machine this weekend that I got a few months back that the P/O used as a beater, and found that the rear brake pedal mount was broke off the frame. Has anyone had this problem before? What would be the best options to fix where the mount was broken off? I don't have the piece that is broke off to weld in, so would finding a busted frame that had a good foot brake section on the frame be cut and re-welded in be strong enough, or would it be better to get a good used frame? That appears to be the only bad part on the frame I can see. :wondering

I'd cut it out square, weld in a patch, grind that down and put a half wrap tube welded over it......

That is a common break point for the 200ES - I have personally seen several broken here. You could just find a close sized (would have to be undersized not oversize) round bar that your brake pedal fits around and weld it in as best as you can. This is just the pivot point for your rear brake pedal. If you wanna get fancy, machine a solid piece and stick a grease fitting in your brake pedal.
