agreed.. Looks to be well worth the stated price. Looks mostly original and it all seems to be there and in good shape. Somebody took care of it.

If you're not savvy on 2-strokes, especially Kawasaki, I'd pass if I were you, it'd be too much of a beast for you. Tecate 2-strokes aren't for the faint of heart.

Snatch it up. The plastics are worth that if they're in as good of shape as the photos make them look (although not too many people looking to buy red for some reason).

BTW, if you're not savvy with 2 strokes, might want to keep it out of the powerband. It's a light switch. BALLS TO THE WALLS POWER on or off.

needs a rear shock rebuild. way springy. is it normal for smoke to come out the header at the exhaust? are exhaust leaks as bad as on 4 strokes?

A little smoke from the head pipe is not uncommon on a smoker. If you want to seal it up take a look at the copper gasket and the rubber 0-ring. No, it is not as big of a deal if it leaks a little bit there as it would be on a thumper. Good buy man.

I get this feeling that even a little leak out of the exhaust at the engine can cause a bit of a power loss. Mine is leaky there too...

Get us some high quality pics after you wash and polish it :naughty:

Sounds pretty good. All you need is a good seat and you could be ripping up da hood.

Yes, those look like the original tires.

Both my kids (9 & 11) have twist throttles on there 200x's. Both my Tecate's have them. Even the neigbor kid has them. Twist throttles are for ultimate control. Here's proof: every MX racer has a twist throttle, never seen a dirt bike pro with a thumb. And where throttle is even more touchy and important- trials riding -they run twist throttle, and nothing but. No more tired thumbs and cramped hands for my kids, and smoother shifting. And no more frozen appendix when below freezing. But if you don't want it, LMK, I'd like a spare. But once you cowboy up and figure it out, you'll switch all you rides over. Heck, my 1st bike (brand new) was a 1979 (?) RM50, it had a twist, lol.

I have a twisty I'll gladly send you. It's OEM I believe, came off of my Tecate. I will never ride with a twisty. The last time I did, I got wrist lock and revved right into a (luckily) soft bush. Just because every MX racer uses a twisty does not mean that you are mandated to use a twisty, you use whatever feels right for you. For me, twisty's have never felt right, even on 2 wheel motorcycles. BTW, I know plenty of quadcross racers who use thumbs ;)

A good place for the thumb throttles is on my wife's trike.. lol I hate 'em.. I prefer having my whole hand around each grip instead of 4 fingers on my right hand. Xpress.. maybe you should have that wrist lock looked at?? :D Maybe that's from too much.. nevermind.

soggy bottoms not bad,its got dirt and mud.Dont know how much mud is there now.Its got a swimming lake in the middle of it.
Ive been spending a lot of time at creekside edge in splendora, its closest to me,though soggy bottoms probably another 15 minutes longer to get to for me

Ehh guess im just not used to the 2 stroke and i really need money forvcollege. This thing has its bruises after you look. Large exhaust leak, rear shock needs rebuilt, oil plug is a bolt with 8 washers. If i dont get what i want ill try to find time to rebuild it when i own a garage.
