I realize I've got a Yamaha, but I use a hypoid 80 weight gear oil for the rear, and the same oil you use for the motor, as far as a trailer ball, I have a 1 5/8" (I believe, ill have to check) Reese ball, moves my landscaping trailer no prob! Good luck with your big red!

80 Hypoid is whats suppose to go in the BR diff, 3.3 ounces. 10w40 valvoline motorcycle oil is fine, and whatever size coupler your trailer has, is the size ball I think you would want to use...
