While checking out my new 350, I found a engine support bolt below the front engine mount. It is long enough to go from one side of the frame to the other, thru the lower engine case with an aluminum spacer on both sides..

Here is the problem, the spacers corroded to the steel bolt so badly that they split, so I removed them. I thought I should remove the bolt and replace the spacers. IT AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!

The bolt appears to have welded itself to the engine casing and even hitting on it with my impact gun until the socket got hot didn't make it move.

So I put the nut back on the bolt and left it..

If I leave as is will there be any risk or should I cut it and punch it out??

It won't budge with an impact??

You can leave it if you have no reason to take the engine out but if you want it off soak it in penetrating oil for while, get a brass punch, put the nut on so it's flush with the tip of the bolt and pound it. Just make sure you have 1/8 of an inch or so from the nut to the frame so it can move. Having a buddy on the impact can help too while you're pounding.

Rusted stuff is a pain and usually takes a lot of patience. Hopefully you're swingarm bolt isn't rusted...they are always a treat!!

I had the same problem. Lots and lots of PB Blaster and an 8 lb sledge slowly got mine out. I have to replace those spacers now though and have no idea what to use.

Well my spacers are gone but the bolt is intact and I don't need remove the engine..the only reason I would remove it would be to replace the spacers. But if it isn't going to cause an issue I am just going to leave it alone..
