Finally after almost two years of being apart, the 350X is getting re-assembled. Hav'nt had the time or $$$$ (still don't really have the money) to do much with it. This is a budget build but I'm not skimping on quality. The frame was stripped and professionally painted with base/clear. Since I work at an auto parts/paint store this was done for really cheap. We came up with a pretty spot on match to the Honda R109 Passion Red. The motor was completely gone through and had a NOS jug and piston put on. I got the swingarm off Ebay for a whopping $20.00. It still needs stripped and reapainted. Everything else will get reconditioned. Once done, this will pretty much be a complete original build with some updated parts (ss bolts, newer tires, handle bars, some polished parts).

And yes.........It is getting assembled in my office.

Thanks Xpress. It's alot of work to spray base clear on a frame and get it to come out nice. Hey Seadoo what else we painting.

It's both right now. Haha. It is going to get re-powder coated black along with the pegs soon.

Quick update. Got the tripples cleaned up and steering bearings are in and installed. Rear axle is ready to go in after I finish cleaning up the rear shock tomorrow.

No biggie, I can get it out the back patio door with the rear wheels off. Just gotta make sure I take it out there before I fire it up. LOL

Not too concerned about it not firing up. More concerned about any bolts I may have forgotten to tighten. Gonna have to check every single one. I have a yellow paint marker to mark em with so I know which were done. Can't wait to get it running tonite. Been two years since I started this project.

Just another update with pics. Got it out of the house with no problem. Back wheels off and through the living, kitchen and out the back patio door. Got it in the garage and exhaust on. Oil...check, fuel...check. Kicked her for a few minutes and she fired up. Purrrrrs like a kitten, well, like a 26 year old kitten with a brand new top end anyways.

Got some real nice shots outside before it got dark for you all to enjoy. Now back to the cave to get the rear brakes and chain on and give her a lil rippp.

looks top notch!! even have the nice oem fenders and flap for it!! i hear ya on the bolts. even after proper tourquing, ive had them rattle loose after some good riding. make sure to recheck everything after a few hrs ride time!! i'm sure you know this. get that chain on and give us a ride report!

Shakedown run was great. Everything felt good. It was good to finally get to ride the old girl again. I missed the torque of the 350X. Deffinately alot more power than before with the new cylider and piston. Brakes go on tonite, give another good hard run and then off to ride. She probably won't look this clean after her maiden voyage.
