Basically since I got my 85 250r, there was something weird about the exhaust. The biggest thing is that the upper mount for the silencer was on one of the bolts for the grab bar. Also the pipe joint was loose and didn't seal completely. I thought, "ok, no big deal, somebody just didn't put it back together right."
When I had to do a clutch on it, I tried fixing the problem then, only to give up. When I bought the dg expansion chamber for it and tried installing it, I again ran into the same problem. The pipe joint just would not line up, seal and allow the silencer to be bolted in the correct spot. Also, the joint between the pipe and silencer called for a spring. My pipe had a hook for one but the silencer didn't....
Again this evening, had my gas tank off and was checking to make sure bolts were tight. I've lost 2 bolts since I put the motor back in a couple months ago. I decided I was going to figure out this exhaust issue, come hell of high water. First thing I did was search for some numbers I found on the silencer. SANKEI 3067 was the first search I did. No luck there so I decided to post this and see if anyone could help me out. Knowing that pics and info is the key to getting an answer, I went out to take pictures and try to find anymore markings. here's what I found:

From what I can find "HB9" indicates TRX. That explains why it wouldn't fit right. Damn, I guess that means I need to get my fmf silencer now...:lol:
