The 250r I recently purchased {that i have very little seat time on}has pretty small tires on the rear, dont know if thats good or bad.Looks like stock size were 22x11x8.Mine are 18x10x8{ITP holeshots}.My 200x are 20x11x9{Titan Turf tamers}.
Thing Ive noticed in the little bit of riding of done on it is I miss the wider stance that my 200x has because of the spacers the 200x has.I would like to put the 200x spacers on the 250r but the rims that are on there now wont fit the spacers.I could do a complete swap and put the 200x rims tires and spacers on the 250r and vice versa.I can do that because the hubs fit the axles the same.
So should I put the the larger tires on the 250r? Will the other tires look silly on the 200x?

I don't run 22" tires on anything besides a utility trike.

18" tires are nasty but you lose ground clearance, thin 20" tires seem to work for me.....

Why are you asking us? Just get at it and you'll figure everything out.

I'd keep them 18's, they look nice on there. Or if you're trail riding, run 20's. You shouldn't really have to mess with gearing.

there are both a very common size for each bike either way

I ended up switching the hubs and tires so the 250r will be wider, thats the one i'll probably be riding more

The 200x looks kinda funny with those small rear tires, but the 250r has a nice stance to it. Beautiful exhaust BTW, what pipe is that?

funny you should comment on this today, cause I switched them back today.I bought a set of 200x hubs off ebay for $3.75 so I was able to use those and switch the tires like I wanted. With the 200x hubs I was able to use the spacers I had and put the smaller tires back on the 250r with the spacers.Oh and the pipes a Bassani

I'd stick with 18's on the 1st gen. It needs them for that racer look.
