Nicholson 500x

Well after 1137 miles the nick 500 has a new home this on one heck of a drive to make in a weekend, As soon as I get the 250r front end the 3-4 front end will come off, there are two little tabs that are welded to the fame thats it on the bottom on the craddle, Frame looks really good I went over it no crack's, The tank does not have a single spot of rust in it, The wheel space's for the rear are plastic any one got any idea on that, The bad news when I pick it up took the fenders off and there was metal cunks in the air box and the kick start shaft is broke off, so it looks like a new motor will be found and this one used as parts its locked up, its got the org fox shock for it and still in good shape, the olny thing that I see that is differnt is the rear brake set up im not even sure what it came off of, but tell me what you guys think and I will be having all sorts of questions coming up for you other Nick owners

That brake looks like a 70s Honda street bike ....dont quote me but I'd guess and say Honda 750 K or some such animal . Cool find .

What's the big deal with a Nicholson frame?? I'm not putting it down I just dont understand y it's so sought after?? Is it just that its rare??

rare and 500cc the frame work alone is just so nice looks like a factory bike that was never made

But what most people don't really understand is, the frame is about the same size as a 185s frame with a 500 engine in it.

Probably less than a dozen or so around that some of us know about. Then again one pops up every once and awhile like this one.

the front ends weights so much once that comes off I cant wait to put it on a diet

if I told everyone would trip i will say this the guy I got it from I ask after I put money in his hands was he paid 200 for it the who had it bfor him him was calling it a 500ex and he really didnt know what he had but i didnt pay to much I think i got a very fair deal

Well the frame new was approx $625 if I remember correctly. Yes you got a deal.

Ok so it is a very rare frame that was specifically built for a dirt bike 500cc motor??

like veal said the frame is super small its alot smaller than the 350x Im goin to tey to get it running and first then do a complete tear down
