Alright a friend of a friend of mine told me today he has acouple 3wheelers he wants to get rid of. The first one he said is somewhat disassembled and he said it's a Honda and thinks its a 150cc(just guessing a 185 or 200 sense there so common in these parts) and the other trike he said is a Suzuki that ran but not that great so they parked it many years ago with the Honda in a barn. What I got from the conversation was he doesn't have much Trike experience and he said I can just make him a offer on them(prolly take any offer too:naughty:) But what leaves me wondering is if it really is a Suzuki? They are kind of rare and i've never seen one in person. I'm thinking this might be a Yamaha and the yellow plastic is throwing this kid off. But he said it says Suzuki on the seat... What model do you think it could be? I need to try to get ahold of him to take a look at them. My next question is are parts easy to find for a Suzuki??

Suzuki made 3 different Production 3 wheelers. ALT50 ( Trail Buddy, 2 stoke ), ALT125, and a ALT185 ( both 4 strokes ).

Just. trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotr ailpro. Don't.

I have an ALT185, and I can't even get a piston one size overbore, I had to knurl the stock piston, and use 1mm rings.

HORRIBLE parts availibility, no suspension, but the 185 does have revers, and the 125 IIRC.

It's a neat trike, but NOT something I would buy if it needed anything.

I've been trying to find some pics of the alt 125 and 185 but they seem to all say alt on the seats, he said it says Suzuki on the seat? Think he might be imagining things. I figured parts would be a nightmare to find. I used to have a KLT 200 parts for that was hard enought to locate. What do you think the value of a Alt in rough but running condition would be??

That depends, if it's complete and running, I'd say no more than 300, but it's gotta be running pretty good and not too rough shape.

i have been researching parts for the alt 185.i believe the top end from a dr200 and sp200 will fit(the alt 185 dr200,sp200share the same head gasket).the stator coil and lighting coil will work from a ytm200/225.all engine and electrical parts from the lt185 will fit.cams from lt185/alt185,lt230,lt250 are interchangeable.there's still parts available and interchangeable, just takes a little research.
