im new to the trike world and recently got what i believe is a 1985(not positive on the yr) YT125. most of the lines connected to the carb are cracked and only connected to the carb or missing. i bought new lines today but i dont know where to connect the lines between the carb and motor. if anyone has a diagram or even pics of their own trike that show where the lines hook up would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!

The biggest nipple gets the biggest line from the tank, The smallest line, right side, farthest forward toward intake,on the side,is your ,OIL injection line! Very important that is right! All the others are vents, overflows, which all get routed down out the bottom of the machine.

Does the 85 yt have a fuel pump? i know my 80 does not.
Guitarist, the yt125 is pretty dang slow, you'll figure it out, but it's fun. It has a massive potential for speed. Its not to difficult to get 3-5 times the stock power out of 1 of them.

thanks for the replies! my mechanical skills/knowledge are pretty limited so let me know if i hooked the oil injection line up right atc007.

if I remember the vacuum line is below the carb boot (think I see it in the pic) and runs to fuel pump. line from petcock goes to pump inlet, line from pump outlet run to the carb. the clear should hook from where you have it to the reed cage or intake boot. the black line next to the clear should go back to the oil tank. Its been 15 years since I've worked on one of these beasts and mine was an 84. I would think it would be the same though. I cant remember where the fuel pump was mounted

If you have a fuel pump, then you don't have a YT125, you have a YT175. If you have a 125 in there, then someone either added the fuel pump (why?) or replaced the engine.
I have an 85 YT125 that was factory original and it did NOT have the fuel pump. I think the 175 (82 and 83 only) had a fuel pump because the fuel tank was different. When I converted my 85 125 to the 175 engine, I did not use the fuel pump. I have no problems with fuel feeding to the carb and its using the 125 tank.
Does your engine have a nipple on it on the intake boot or on the engine right next to the intake boot? If so, that is the vacuum nipple for the fuel pump. The carb itself doesn't have the vacuum nipple for the fuel pump.
I'm curious to see some pictures of the petcock side of the carb and intake boot to see what engine you have in there.

my yt's were the only ones I worked on had a 125 and a 175 both had fuel pumps. if the 125's didnt come with them mine may have been modified for some reason. was definatly there though I remember walking because the vacuum line split

The vacuum line split? that doesn't make sense unless the fuel pump was aftermarket.
The 82 YT175 has the vacuum nipple for the fuel pump located on the intake boot joint itself and the 83 YT175 has the vacuum nipple located on the engine jug just by the intake. My 80 125 never had a fuel pump and my 85 125 never had a fuel pump either. I even went to Bike Bandit and looked at the schemetics for an 82 and a 85 (first and second generation) YT125 and neither had a fuel pump. The 175s did though.

mine is definitely a 125, and i dont believe its been modified in any way so no fuel pump for me. ill post pics later showing where i have lines connected to confirm i have it right.
thanks for the help guys!

yeah the vacuum line split from dry rot and I was walkin. like I said mine were the only yt's I've ever worked on. and again I said if It didnt come with a pump it may have been modified. why? dont know it was already almost 10 years old when I had it. as far as the original question guitarist93 looks like they are hooked up right on the oil pump but wher do you have them connected to?

well since i dont know the technical names for where i have them connected ill try to post pics tomorrow, i would have today but ive just been busy because im graduating tomorrow night.
agian again again thanks for yall's help, otherwise id be completely lost about this project
i will take pics of how they are run on my machine here shortly and post them. The yt125 does not have a fuel pump. I eliminated the oil injection on my yt's and i run mix. The 125 is pretty slow, but has some good torque. Fun machines to ride thats for sure. Ill be starting my build here soon on my 125. Im not ruining anything but its gunna be a gooder...
