Wow, Just Lost my first US90, Dirty Pool!

I talked to guy last week who was away that had a Green 74 US 90 for sale at a great price. We set things up for today at Noon. Someone else got his address and was waiting in his driveway and he sold it to them! I was first in line but the guy was away camping so told me to call first at noon. Guess I should have been there but wouldn't expect someone to sell out from under me. Oh well, can't get them all, sadly I put off my plans for today to be there to pick it up. Here's a photo of what I just missed, so you know you would be upset too!

If there was someone waiting in my driveway like that I'd be pretty P.O.ed. Especially if I never actually handed my address to them. And I wouldn't have sold the trike to them, I would've said "get the hell off my property and don't look back." and moved on to the next guy. Some people though....

On the other hand For $275 you did miss a great deal :/

I'm the same way. If I set something up with a caller I would never sell it out from under them. I have learned now to say "first come, first serve" as to many people I have held things for just never showed or even called to say they weren't coming. That wasn't the case here though, we set it for noon, someone probably did a reverse search on his number and got his address. It happens! I did get a great deal on a vintage Moped, but thats another story! lol

PS When your done shining her up Billy, can you put a nice green Bow on it and meet me at the Mall??? LOL!

Exactly, the seller should have told them he already had a buyer who was coming and if the first guy didn't take it he could gave them a shot if they were next in line. But I wouldn't appreciate someone being in my driveway when I just got home from a week of camping and didn't even have a chance to unload. Such is life, like I said, we can't get them all. I need to get working on my many projects I already have, Mondexbrute's thread on his 350X, now 400X has been very inspiring!!!

You're not the only one Tim, he told me the same thing. I talked to him a few times over the weekend and he told me to call him at noon on Monday when he got back from camping. Called at 12:10 and left a message and then called again at 12:45 and he said that he sold it about 20 minutes before. I cried a little inside and wanted to smash something but then realized there is no point in getting worked up about something i have no control over. Still upset tho. I thought i had it in the bag. Oh well, not the first time something like this has happened and it wont be the last I'm sure. That guy had no idea what he had.

I know, he had in the listing a "Big Wheel" rather than a US 90. I actually called him at 11:00 to see if he made it okay through the storm Sunday night. Our whole place was shaking, I couldn't imagine being out camping in it! I figured he probably went home early with the high winds and lightening. He didn't answer, tried again 11:30, no answer, then when he did said a guy was in his driveway and sold it to him. Oh well, such is life!
