I recently picked up a used 110cc honda clone to start a new trike build around and I'm bloody confused about the transmission on this thing. When I bout it the guys told me it was a 4 speed auto...at least that's what the guy told me the guy to him he bought it off of. Quite frankly I call Bull turds! I can't find any were on the internet that any one even makes a 4 speed auto:wondering So this leads me to believe it's a TAV engine? were do they even put the belt and bully system:wondering I'm a wizz with those Comet torque converters but I don't see were the can even put one:rolleyes:

Further more the engine is electric start only so there is nothing on the out side really, and it weighs a ton it could easily be 10-15 pounds heavier than my all original(vintage) Honda 70 3 speed. So I'm thinking that there is some thing in side those cases, cause if it is a single speed it would be as light as feather.

With that being said the numbers stamped on the block are useless; any way to check whats inside that gear box with out splitting the cases?......And don't be a smart hahaha and say run the engine, I need a trike for that first:crazy:

Who made the engine, Manufacturer? I do believe a few were made. If you were to post up some pictures you may get a better answer. Most of the Chinese clones are manual clutch.

I'll try to get the manufacturer and model numbers later on today. And I guess I'll post up some pics too, but really it's nothing to look at....just looks like a normal clone minus the gear shifter and kick start.
