Hi, i recently got an '85 Honda ATC 125M and basically the thing seems like it belongs more in the scrap yard than my backyard. That being said, i was wondering since i live in MA and 3 wheelers are hard to come buy, is it cheaper just to fix this thing up to usable standards or just junk it and lift my truck? basically from what i can tell at this point is i need a new pullstart, gas tank, carb, front tire, and rear rims and tires. im not sure how the brakes are but im not to that stage yet. good news is the frame is in decent shape, bad news is everything else seems rotted to hell...

just to clarify, i am not attempting to restore this back to factory condition, im just trying to make it ride-able. and being mechanically inclined, and a redneck, im willing to make whatever i dont need to buy.

well, it's certainly rough. by no means would i scrap it though! if you don't want to mess with fixing it, sombody on here might take it off your hands, or you could part it out.

Really depends on what YOU want to do. Me personally I would part it and get something else. It's going to take a LOT of TLC to get it back into riding shape, and engine work is going to need to be done....

i dont mind fixing it, but money is the problem because im more worried about fixing my truck right now. if i could atleast get the motor to run, then id be more willing to hold onto it but i need a new carb before itll run, and i dont quite feel like dumping money into a carb for nothing.

luckily the motor gets spark and it seems like it has compression but i cant tell how much and i dont have a gauge to check it available to me.
