Heres a toy I picked up traded for a KX80 dirt bike not the best working but runs pretty good needed the steering stem tightened up and new front wheel bearings but rides pretty sweet trying to figure out a back brake set up I was thinking about possibly using a blaster set up but not sure if it would work or not as it has nothing on it other than the rotor and the mounting bracket for the rear caliper but plan on redoing the whole thing over the winter but plan on riding as is for right now and just getting out on the trails.

oh is there anyway to identfy the yr of the frame as the plate on the neck has been removed ?

It definitly has potental! A lil work and a few parts that could be a really nice ride. If your gonna use blaster brakes make sure they are newer hyraulic banshee/warrior type set-up.. The old manual blaster rear brakes were nothing but headaches and would take more fabrication to mount(i would run no brakes before i would put those on it).. If I were you I would get a stock set-up for it, the rears are easier to come by than the front and are cheaper to buy. Try ebay or the classified forum

BTW is that a yamaha tank on it? doesnt look like the stock tank from the 2nd pic

yeah its a yamaha 22dr tank thats what was on it when I got it I have an orginal 200x tank for it just has to be relined is all and thank you for the referance for the yr. as far as the rear brakes ive looked on ebay and the only rear brakes I have come up with for it that were orginal are $150 plus and not many most were aftermarket just calipiers and they were going for $120+ and thats not counting the lines pedal or mater cylinders. But I keep checking everyday for new ones to be added or a cheap parts machine to pop up on my local craigslist or something but no luck yet,

OEM brake are junk. buy a cr80 front caliper and put it on. dont use oem stuff, these things are too old
