Okay so today i decided to get some work done on the 200s. Well my 185 isn't rode that much, the rewind needs rewinding, and needs to be worked on overall. So since i wasn't riding that as much, i decided to check out the sprockets (knowing the 200 needed new rear ones). Well the back one looked just like new. So i spent awhile getting it off to put in the 200. the 200 had really worn out rear sprockets and the chain was really loose. The chain was pretty decent on the 185 so i took that off for the 200 as well. well the problem started when i got the sprocket and chain on and i was going to get the axle adjusted so i could connect the chain. I loosened the 4 bolts on the axel and the axel wont push far enough forward to connect the links for the chain. i took the bottom 2 bolts out and it still didnt make any difference. the left side of the axel moves but no where close enough to make the chain connect. I read the manual and it didnt give any real detail on this portion. what am i doing wrong?

Are the sprokets the same tooth count? Do both chains contain the same amount of links? Do you know for certain these are supposed to be interchangeable?

both stock chains were 520 links. the rear sprocket for the 185 is a 41 tooth when the 200 has 43. that shouldnt make much of a difference. the axel should still move up far enough to connect the chain

"Standard" 185s chain has 82 links, 200s has 84.

oops, i meant both were 520 sizes. but either way, the adjustment screw stay in the same spot as it was before even when the axel moves. theres gotta be a problem here.

So you took the sprocket/chain that work together on the 185 and are trying to put it on the 200, and it doesn't work??

A reg 185 has a longer frame than a 200s .

What im mostly concerned about is the fact that the chain adjuster isnt moving at all. Or am i missing something. Im sorta new the chain and sprockets deal so teach me lol.
