Cant beat a set of oem rear fenders for 25 bucks, let alone a complete bike!!! Nice score dont part it out, if anything fix it up a little bit and sell it as a runner for 25 times what you paid for it.

128655well i started to hoard some parts for project X . looking into the engine top end was shot . the CDI was all rotted and the cylinder was worn . i ordered a rebuild kit with a 10.25 wiesco . new valves and timing chain. the engine and head arepainted high heat black got a stainless steel engine bolt kit . which looks really nice !!
new rubber all around and a chrome DG pipe . ! will post some more pictures and a video of the first start once i get to it .

I doubt that you could find one for $700 with all of those improvements, no matter how hard you looked.

If the top end was shot the clutch pack was probably as well. I would pull the clutch cover off replace the clutch plates and clean the oil filter screen there. This will ensure good times and less sitting on the road side.

wow, you ARE serious!
I was gonna suggest getting it running and checking all the gears but looks
like you beat me to it.
I'm sure you've heard about upgraded kicker springs and gears.
I didn't see a model/year posted but apparently it makes for a nice upgrade.
Guess it can easily be done with it all together and engine IN the frame
too, so not time critical.
Have a great time with it.
I had to trade my last x for a br due to lousy clutch arm (mine).

its an 84 200x . would like to know more about the kicker upgrade ! because this things hard to kick with a fresh top end and high compression im sure it wont last long lol
I got it together and running !! bought a really nice tank off itrike here . It was running great but i left the dang timing chain adjuster loose and bent a valve DOH ..... But ill have it fixed this week
The exhauset is VERY loud . I might swap it out with someone for a nice OEM exhaust. its just too loud for where I ride. here are some more pictures ill try to get some good quality piks up soon .
i have been used to my 200s and this things a blast with a clutch !

Throw a Sparky spark arrestor on it...should quiet it down and be Forestry approved for Park riding. Most stock exhaust have the baffles ripped out...so be on the look out for that, get pics and be asured there in the pipe before $transaction. Remember some of these sellers don't know and some don't care if you don't.

I noticed most of ebay exhausts have no baffles .
Would you happen to know which sparky will fit on a DG exhaust ? Never seen them might give it a shot

If you do wanna let go of the DG. I'd trade a nice a stocker with a heat shield plus a little $.
Just an option:).
