thought id share my new find I got last night, its running now and basicly the plastic is the roughest part on the bike. some theives got to it one year and tried to steal it. The owner had the bike chained so they couldnt take it. In all thier anger, they decided to cut and break up the plastics I may just cut them off like a race style for now. Not sure yet becuase the other side of the fenders is ok and working. I have the front tire off I am doing front bearings (i think front tire is original) The tires are also nice too.124241124240124239

650 I may have overpaid but the tires are worth some and it wasnt running but i drained the carb. I think with fresh gas (3 years old but stabilized) it will run better it dies when the motor is cold I could probably adjust the carb a bit yet though. Idle was set high so it wouldnt die running under water and I lowered the idle.

Sounds like the pilot circuit in the carburetor is plugged. Awesome find. Need some new tires for mine...

im now putting my 82 plastics on it direct swap but i need to cut out tiny spot near the tranny
